– What are carpfishing hookbaits?
Hookbaits are usually boilies selected for posture, that is, to place them in our hair. We say that hookbaits are selected for posture because they have much better and effective properties than those of an ordinary boilie. Hookbaits have a higher concentration of seasoning, so they will be doubly attractive to fish, thus having a greater potential for fish capture.
Hookbaits for fishing come in jars of 200 to 300 grams, depending on the brand that markets them. The vast majority of caprfishing brands include hookbaits in their catalogs, since they are increasingly used throughout Europe.
– What types of hookbaits are there?
Hookbaits can vary in size and shape.
As for the size, we can find hookbaits of all sizes, but the most used in carpfishing are hook baits of 20 and 24 mm in diameter.
With regard to its morphology, there are hookbaits on the market in the form of boilie or dumbell.
There are even brands that sell soaked hookbaits, or also called glugged hookbaits. The liquid that the hook baits are impregnated with will make them more irresistible to the fish.
Another group of hookbaits marketed are the HARD HOOK BAITS, which are hard hookbaits, thus making them last much longer in the water. They are even more resistant to crab attack, allowing our posture to remain longer available to fish.
We can also choose between hookbaits of many different flavors and colors, according to the tastes or preferences of each particular fisherman.
– When are hookbaits used?
When the fisherman uses a boilie in his posture that gives him confidence, for characteristic flavor, he will no longer hesitate to get the hookbaits of the same range as the boilie used. The hookbait will be more durable than the boilie itself and more concentrated, so it has better characteristics to create our posture.
Hookbaits are very useful for both long and short carpfishing sessions. Thanks to their incredible instant action, they are increasingly employed by fishermen. They will always work, so you should not miss a jar of hookbaits in our macuto.
When we want to maintain our posture in the water for several days, the best choice is undoubtedly to opt for hookbaits as bait. As the posture will remain for many more hours at the bottom of the water, the largest fish, which are usually the most distrustful, will end up attacking it and falling into our nets. In addition, we will be sure that in our cane there is bait available, contrary to what happens if we use boilies instead of hookbaits.
– Are hookbaits useful for priming?
It is imperative to keep in mind that hookbaits are only used for posture, and never for baiting. Our feedlot will not contain hookbaits, although our position will. What we will use to bait in this case, will be boilies of the same range as the hookbaits placed in the hair.
Hookbaits, having improved characteristics with respect to boilies, are more expensive, so it is not economical to make a feedlot with hookbaits.
